A consultant for the Digital Transformation Team of the Italian government will talk about Docs Italia, an Open Source platform to collect and share Public Administration documentation.
During 2018 I was a consultant for the Digital Transformation Team of the Italian government to work on Docs Italia, an Open Source platform to collect and share Public Administration documentation.
We have not written Docs Italy from scratch, but we have built it on top of Read The Docs: the reference platform for documentation of Python packages. This has allowed us to save a lot of work! But Open Source software does not write itself and we did our part by contributing to Read The Docs. In this talk I will tell you what we did and what we learned.
